It’s the first one ever

You want to be there at the start don’t you?

The bling is amazing

The usual high standard White Star Running fabulous medal for all finishers, plus a super special Tshirt.

There is entertainment laid on

Black Sheep will be entertaining us with a barn dance after you finish on Sunday night so you can keep those tired legs moving. There will also be a band on Saturday night.

You can relax with a beer

After all, you’ve earned it! The bar will be open and there is camping on site so you don’t even need to arrange a taxi to take you home. Just curl up in your sleeping bag when it all gets too much.

You run through stunning countryside

West Dorset is beautiful with some really great chocolate box villages. Here’s a great excuse to see them at the best time of year.

Your family will thank you

Why not make a weekend of it? Dorset is one of the country’s top holiday destinations so there is loads to keep the family entertained while you do your thing. If you’re a local, you can pretend you are on holiday!

It’s all in aid of a great local charity

The event is to raise money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance so you are running for a great cause.

You can support your own charity at the same time
Why not run to raise money for your own good cause? It’s easy to set up your own page on Justgiving.

Be special

Only 1 in 100 people ever complete a marathon, if you’ve never done one before (and you have done some training already) now’s your chance.

Beat the stress

Anyone who runs knows just what a great stress-buster it is. If you’ve not run before, give it a go.

You can avoid The Sound of Music (other bank holiday movies are available)
We’re holding the event over the bank holiday at the end of May, so you have the perfect excuse to avoid all the re-runs of old movies.

You – yes you! – can still run the half marathon
So long as you have a reasonable level of fitness, you still have time to train for the half marathon.

Go on, achieve something great this May!
