The Men’s 10K team are delighted to announce the launch of our 2017 Edinburgh event, which will take place on Sunday 5th November 2017, starting at 10am on the Royal Mile and finishing at BT Murrayfield Stadium. Early bird entries are officially open and will remain available at a discounted price until midnight on Sunday 20th November.

The Edinburgh Men’s 10K is a great addition to the Glasgow event which takes place on Father’s Day each year. The second Edinburgh Men’s 10K took place on Sunday 6th November and saw around 1,200 men cross the finish line at Murrayfield, building on its successful debut in 2015. Each finisher had their own reason for running, but they were all united in making a positive impact on their lives and the lives of others.

Event Director Neil Kilgour said: “We’re delighted that the Edinburgh event has been so welcomed by everyone in the Capital, and we’re looking forward to continuing to build on the success of 2015 and 2016.

“The Men’s 10K plays such an important role in Scotland, inspiring thousands of men of all ages and abilities to think about their health and decide to make a positive change.”

The run started on the Royal Mile, heading down into Princes Street Gardens, past Scott Monument, heading down to Parliament, past Holyrood Palace and Dynamic Earth before heading back up through Cowgate, Grassmarket and onto Murrayfield for a grandstand finish.

Amongst the backdrop of clear blue skies, crisp autumn leaves, and a bitter November chill, supportive crowds cheered the runners on and helped to create a brilliant atmosphere along the route.

The Men’s 10K events have become synonymous with addressing a variety of men’s health issues, as well as helping the runners on their way to improved fitness, health and overall happiness. Thousands of pounds were raised for charitable causes, with many of the runners fundraising for causes close to their hearts.
