Man vs Coast returns to the most famous coastline in the British Isles. Our breathtaking 25 mile route takes in high cliffs, brooding moorland, picture-perfect, beaches, crashing waves, big swells, rough-hewn rocks, water jumps, short swims and a few cheeky surprises. This is one for the adventurer who wants to make a weekend of it.
Bring your family, bring your mates. Enjoy Cornwall in the height of summer. From our base near Penzance and with a stunning Start-line at St Michael’s Mount, the route will weave its way coast to coast from one side of the Cornish peninsula to the other, taking in a course that is exciting beyond belief.
*This is a running event, not a swimming event however you will certainly get wet. All of the swim sections are short and can be bypassed if you wish.

LAST EVER Man vs Lakes.
For 2021 we’re bringing back our classic Man vs Lakes day 1 ultra & introducing the opportunity to upgrade to our brand new 2nd day Sea to Scafell Summit.
This adventure run is like nothing you will have experienced. You will enter the Lake District by striking out with an audacious and surreal crossing of the quicksands of Morecambe Bay, before heading north through mountainous country on a rollercoaster running route that brings you to the foot of England’s most famous Lake. You then proceed higher into the hills and forests of the area and immerse yourself into the Lake itself, tackling short wades, swims*, slides, jumps and an amazingly bold floating assault course. A trademark Man vs “Vertical Kilometer” will push those quads to breaking point and help to rack up a whopping 4200ft of ascent before you psych yourself up for a “Swallows and Amazons” rope swing suspended from a crane. A final push takes you further in to the heart of Lakeland for a serene kayak loop on Lake Coniston just before you finish.

The Canterbury Tales were a series of stories authored by the famous English author Geoffrey Chaucer and they depict a number of colourful characters making a Pilgrimage to Canterbury along what was a very popular Pilgrim’s route.
That route in large part followed the old Roman road of Watling Street and connected Southwark with Canterbury over some 67 miles (100 KM) of distance.
Our objective is to re-trace the steps of CHAUCER’S PILGRMS over 1 day, weaving our way through LEAFY South London to Rochester Castle. After overnighting in these Medway Towns we then head onwards through tranquil lowland orchards and beside the North Downs, before terminating at THE MAGNIFICENT Canterbury Cathedral.
An oddity of the Pilgrimage of Yore was that the Pilgrims would complete the final 3 miles barefoot, as a penance. We intend to do likewise for the final mile…! This is an optional challenge for those who feel comfortable taking on this quirky finish!
