Man vs Coast returns to the most famous coastline in the British Isles. Our breathtaking 25 mile route takes in high cliffs, brooding moorland, picture-perfect, beaches, crashing waves, big swells, rough-hewn rocks, water jumps, short swims and a few cheeky surprises. This is one for the adventurer who wants to make a weekend of it.
Bring your family, bring your mates. Enjoy Cornwall in the height of summer. From our base near Penzance and with a stunning Start-line at St Michael’s Mount, the route will weave its way coast to coast from one side of the Cornish peninsula to the other, taking in a course that is exciting beyond belief.
*This is a running event, not a swimming event however you will certainly get wet. All of the swim sections are short and can be bypassed if you wish.

Held under UK:Athletics rules and with the kind permission of The Canal & River Trust, this non-stop race is from Little Venice, London to the heart of Bristol. The route takes the Grand Union Canal towpath to Slough, the Jubilee River and River Thames paths to Reading, The Kennet & Avon Canal towpath to Bath, and finally the River Avon path, to finish at the lightship John Sebastian in Bathurst Basin.
Organised on the same lines as the GUCR, this 145 mile race follows easy to navigate canal, river and railway paths. Competitors receive comprehensive maps of the entire route which passes through some of the best of English countryside. On the way runners “descend” the magnificent Caen Hill flight of 29 locks, a drop of 237 feet in 2 miles, one of the “Seven Wonders of the Waterways” and well worth seeing.
KACR is the second of a three race series “The Canalslam” totalling over 400 miles. Each race can be entered as a one-off, but competitors completing all three receive a special award. Again there are no entry qualifications, but a schedule to fit the 45 hour overall time limit is required.
Easy route navigation – detailed maps and a canal to follow.
Plenty of support – snacks and drinks every 10 –15 miles.
Transport for retirees – a lift to the nearest station for anyone having a bad day.
Easy to meet cut-off times – simply in line with the generous overall time limits.
No qualification – previous experience of just a marathon has proven enough.
