No doubt many of us will have been watching in amazement when Eliud Kipchoge became the first runner to go sub 2 hours for a marathon.

One of the many things that is striking while watching his historic run is how smooth and efficient his running technique appears to be.

In the video, James Dunne from Kinetic Revolution explains exactly how Eliud Kipchoge runs with such an efficient running technique, and what we can all learn from studying his form to improve our own running.

James says: “I’ll stop short of saying to looks effortless… I mean, he run 1:59:40, which is clearly a superhuman effort! However it did look as though with such an efficient running style, not one ounce of his effort went to waste!”
