The award-winning Intersport Run Reigate Half Marathon and 10K takes place on Sunday 17th September 2017 and promises to be a day of superb sporting action for runners of all ages.

Returning to Surrey’s Priory Park for the fourth year, the event is a firm fixture in the diary for the running community and this year is expected to be its most successful staging yet. Running icon Dame Kelly Holmes will be welcomed back as the official starter of the event, her support really setting the scene for a fantastic day of running and inspiring competitors of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals.

With less than two weeks until race day, there is still time to enter the Intersport Run Reigate Half Marathon and 10K and enjoy the beautiful closed-road route through rural Surrey. Runners can also be sure of a first-class race village and outstanding spectator support, all of which contributed to the Half Marathon being voted the UK’s Best Half Marathon (≤ 5,000 participants) at The Running Awards 2017.

The deadline for online entries is 23.59 on Thursday 14th September. Entries for the Intersport Run Reigate Half Marathon and 10K will also be available on race day.

In addition to the Half Marathon and 10K races, there is a hugely popular Canon Kids Race for young runners aged 4-14 years. It sees participants complete the final 1.1 mile of a cumulative half marathon on race day, giving them a fantastic opportunity to experience the thrill of a big sporting event and receive their own medal. The Canon Kids Race is now sold out.

The event will also host The 2017 Emergency Services Challenge: Police vs Fire vs Ambulance, with teams from each of the emergency services battling it out to see which is the fastest. Dame Kelly Holmes will present the trophy to the fastest Emergency Services team in each of the Half Marathon and 10K races, and support for the local heroes is guaranteed to be huge.

A team of Xempo race pacers will again be pacing the Half Marathon to help runners achieve their target times. They will be easily identified by their target time flags and will be covering the following times: Sub 1:30, Sub 1:40, Sub 1:50, Sub 2:00, Sub 2:10 and Sub 2:30.

The Event Village and Jellyfish Food Village will be open from 8am, and the Move Revolution Kids Active Village will be providing a free selection of activities for kids to try from 10am-2pm.

The 10K race starts at 9.00am and the Half Marathon starts at 9.15am, both setting off in front of the Priory School. All finishers will receive a collectable Brooks technical t-shirt, a heavyweight bespoke medal, water and banana.
