Olympic medallist, Vicky Holland is amongst the 60-strong line-up for the Accenture British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup taking place on Saturday 4 August at ExCeL, London.

The Rio 2016 Bronze medallist will compete for Team Bath in the mixed relay event, seeing squads of two men and two women team up to race in the sport’s newest and most exciting discipline.

Team Leeds I took the event’s inaugural title in Nottingham in 2017 and is back on the start list for London. Fresh from winning bronze on the ITU World Triathlon Series circuit in Edmonton last weekend, Georgia Taylor-Brown returns to the Accenture British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup for a second year alongside Leeds teammate, Tom Bishop. London 2012 Olympian, Lucy Hall and Sam Dickinson complete the quartet.

Elsewhere, recent ETU Sprint Distance Triathlon European Champion, Sophie Coldwell, will be in the mix, representing Loughborough I for a second year. Jodie Stimpson, 5th at WTS Edmonton, joins her, looking to propel the team to go one better than their silver in 2017.

Being streamed live on BBC Sport online from 18:05, the Accenture British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup sees British Triathlon’s Performance Centres go head-to-head. This year, quartets from Australia, France, New Zealand and USA have been invited to join the line-up, bringing some international challenge to the table.

Vicky Holland, Rio 2016 Olympic Bronze medallist, said: “After missing out on competing last year, I’m so excited to be representing Team Bath this weekend at the Accenture British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup. Events like these really bring the sport to life for both athletes and spectators; mixed relay is fast and thrilling and it’s great to be given opportunities to showcase the format on home soil ahead of it making its Olympic debut in Tokyo.”

Julian Skan, Managing Director at Accenture said: “For a second consecutive year, Accenture is proud to be working alongside British Triathlon to bring the sport’s new, innovative mixed relay discipline into the spotlight. We eagerly await the showcase to unfold in London this weekend.”

Andy Salmon, British Triathlon CEO, said: “British Triathlon’s Performance Centre setup is crucial in supporting our athletes to be in the best possible position when they reach the start line. We’re very proud to be able to offer an event that celebrates both the mixed relay format and the depth of talent we have across Britain; offering a chance for developing athletes to compete alongside some of the world’s top performers.”
