Review
I had several different Hydration packs but needed a bag that could hold a 1 litre reservoir as well as carry basic safety kit so was looking for a cheaper option that was assessable on the high street and came across this bag in sports direct.

Nevica seems to be another brand name taken onover by sports direct that offers good value for money with a good range of features fit for purpose.

The bag has a good fit and I found no wobble or rubbing regardless of how loaded it was.  Even though it doesn’t have belt pockets (something I like) the mesh pockets on the side are reachable whilst wearing.  The main compartment is split so you can separate the bladder form your kit and the foil pocket is a good idea to keep your fluid from warming up.  The bag has a sewn in waterproof cover that clips over when needed, this is plain black and would be even better if this was reflective and removable fully.   It comes with a good quality 1.5 litre bladder with a bite valve cover but I did swap this for a 1 litre bladder as it was a better fit within the bag and race.

As a cheaper running bag for training and shorter trail races the 9 litre will easily carry a waterproof jacket and fleece as well as the other basics needed.  I think this is a good option for those on a budget.

Pros

  • Good fit with little movement
  • Good colour choice
  • Reflective panelling and straps
  • Bite valve cover
  • Comfortable to wear
  • Rain Cover

Cons

  • Rain cover is black and stitched in so cannot be removed
  • No waist pockets
  • 1.5 litre bladder feels too big for the foil cover
