Runners, are you ready? The countdown is on. In less than 100 days, our favourite half marathon will once again light up the town centre. Rally your friends and family and make this come-back event, a race to remember. The pandemic put a pause to the world renowned 13.1 mile road race, but now, Reading will roar. Cheering spectators, pumping music and a hero’s home straight returns to Reading FC’s Madejski Stadium, Sunday 07 November.

And with a champion race return comes a champion’s training plan. Race organiser, Goldline Events has partnered with Charlotte Purdue, GB’s marathon and half marathon Champion, and former Reading winner, and her team of coaches to offer 75 exclusive Purdue Performance training programmes and VIP race experiences.

Whether you’re looking to beat that 2 hour mark or fly through the finish line in under 75 minutes, this 10-week interactive training programme offers you an exclusive group of like-minded runners, passionate about the same goal, with the experience of Purdue Performance with you every step of the way:

  • Digital training diary
  • Home workouts and recovery masterclasses
  • Zooms with Charlotte and her team

Judith Manson, Race Director says: “There is no community quite like the running community. We cannot wait to be back together on race weekend this November – to not only celebrate our strength in overcoming one of the most challenging and unsettling times we’ve faced, but the incredible effort of our runners to continue their training and charity fundraising through the pandemic.

“We want to thank all our runners and partners for their continued support and solidarity. Through the Purdue Performance training plans we know our runners will return stronger than ever.

“We are working tirelessly for our come-back race, in collaboration with partner agencies and stakeholders. Now is the time for Reading, and the rest of the UK, to light up with the magic of running, once again!”
