An amazing opportunity awaits: the Richmond RUNFEST Marathon and Half Marathon winners have an opportunity to win a FREE holiday to the Cayman Islands this September thanks to the Cayman Island Tourism Department. And not to leave out the masses, there will also be a random spot prize for another 2020 Richmond RUNFEST entrant.
Last year’s Richmond marathon winner, Olympian Chris Thompson won the holiday prize and also broke the Cayman Island Half Marathon course record (1:07:47) in December as he celebrated his holiday in style.
Race Director, Tom Bedford says: “The prize for the winners of the Richmond Half and London’s flattest Marathon is valued at over £6,000 each, so I cannot wait to see what caliber of athlete turns up this year.”
Adrian White, Cayman Dept of Tourism says: “The Cayman Islands are a fantastic British Caribbean Island that I am sure will act as a huge incentive for the winners of the Half and Full Marathon and the lucky winner of the draw. The winners will get a chance to run the IAAF-sanctioned Cayman Marathon (or Half) as well as enjoy the miles of beautiful white sandy beaches, clear turquoise seas and Caymanian hospitality. I am also thrilled to be able to support wider participation in the Richmond RUNFEST.”
