Gravel cycling is the fastest growing form of the sport – and Pearson’s is hosting an event to unravel the myths and highlight the mental health benefits it provides.
Pearson’s team of experts and lovers of gravel riding will pass on their knowledge on kit, bike technology and fit and the best routes.
The event, at 7.30pm on 16 January, is being held in partnership with Action for Happiness with all proceeds going to the mental health charity.
Guy Pearson, director and former cyclocross champion, says: “The freedom gravel cycling offers is the reason why it’s becoming so popular.
“Road cycling is great but can be pretty stressful at times – especially if you’re new to the sport.
“However, gravel cycling allows you to get away from the traffic and the chaos and lose yourself in the amazing scenery this country has to offer.
“It really is the most amazing tonic for body and mind.”
The event is being held at Pearson Performance, Sheen, and tickets cost £10 each which include drinks, nibbles and all the information any gravel rider or wannabe will need.
