12 weeks to Shrewsbury Half Marathon!

Our free 12 week half marathon training plans are now live. We have a selection which are specific to a finishing time you may be aiming for. These have been produced by Shaun Dixon, founder of Let’s Get Running.

Shaun is an experienced runner and coach having represented England and Great Britain as a Mountain and Cross Country runner.

Check out this page first which explains the Terms and Pace guides.

The below have an option to follow a plan where you train either 3 or 4 times per week. There are no specific days set for you to train, hence these are flexible for you to decide which day suits your schedule.

2 hours – 2 hours 20 minutes
1 hour 45 minutes – 2 hours

The below training plans follow a plan where you train either 4 or 5 times per week. There are no specific days set for you to train, again these are flexible for you to decide which day suits your schedule.

1 hour 30 minutes – 1 hour 45 minutes
1 hour 20 minutes – 1 hour 30 minutes

Specific

The below training plans have an option to follow a plan where you train either 3 or 4 times per week. The plans give you sessions to complete on a specific day of the week.

The Shrewsbury Half Marathon returns on Sunday October 10th. You can sign up now, just £28 for affiliated runners and £30 for unaffiliated.

Your follow up will include a detailed report and a call from our GP. (The fastest 3 men and 3 women on the day will be eligible for a free platinum well man / well woman medical).
