Residents Guide to the Shrewsbury Half Marathon
Shrewsbury Half Marathon takes place Sunday September 27th 2026.
Roads closures are in place from 8am to 12pm. Marshals are placed throughout route to provide assistance and direction as required.
The race is a circular route, roads affected are: Gravel Hill Lane, Berwick Road, Coton Hill (Lane nearest the river), Chester Street (Lane nearest the river), Smithfield Road (lane nearest the river), Mardol Quay, Victoria Avenue , Victoria Quay, Welsh Bridge, Frankwell, Copthorne Road, New Street, Porthill Rd, Roman Rd (Inside lane next to Shrewsbury School), Kennedy Road, Ashton Road, Butler Rd, Kingsland Rd, Longden Coleham, Coleham Head, English Bridge (two lanes closest to Coleham, leaving an exit for traffic down Wyle Cop and over the English Bridge towards Abbey Foregate), Wyle Cop (left lane westbound), High Street, Mardol Head, Shoplatch, Bellstone, Barker Street, Bridge Street, Lower Claremont Bank, Claremont Bank, St Chads Terrace, Murivance, Town Walls, Beeches Lane, Williams Way, St Julians Crescent, St Julians Friars, Victoria Ave into The Quarry.

Raven Meadows Multi-Storey Car Park will remain open throughout the event and will be accessible via Castle Foregate allowing continued access to parking in the town centre.
