With breathtaking scenery along the shores of Loch Ness, varied distances and festival atmosphere, the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running has something for everyone.

With over 8000 runners expected in 2017, why not make a Highland weekend of it and come with family or friends? There’s plenty to entertain runners and spectators over the weekend with a free Sports Expo, Baxters Food & Drink Fayre, live music, kids’ activities and a Wee Nessie for under-5s.

And if marathons aren’t your thing, there’s also the Baxters River Ness 10K, a Corporate Challenge, 5K and Wee Nessie for under 5s.

The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon follows a spectacular point to point route alongside the iconic Scottish loch and is possibly one of the most stunning marathon routes anywhere in the world. The route begins in an atmospheric location and continues through stunning scenery, taking you along the shores of Loch Ness, across the River Ness to finish in the Highland capital of Inverness.

The Baxters River Ness 10K is renowned for its ‘PB’ potential following a flat and scenic point-to-point course through the historic Highland capital of Inverness alongside the River Ness.

There is also a 10K Corporate Challenge for teams of 4-6 employees so if you prefer a team approach to sport, this could be the ideal race for you.

The Baxters River Ness 5K, open to all ages and abilities, follows a flat, scenic route alongside the picturesque River Ness in Inverness to finish alongside other races at Bught Park.
