British Triathlon have joined up with a number of triathlon brands, retailers and event organisers to offer fantastic discounts across Black Friday (Friday 25 November).

Aptly named ‘Black Tri Day’, the concept was designed to create a central hub within the British Triathlon website to host triathlon-based promotions across the UK.

The day capitalises on the US retail phenomenon ‘Black Friday’, where retailers take advantage of the beginning of the Christmas shopping season by offering short-term discounts across a range of products.

Jack Buckner, British Triathlon CEO, said: “It’s great to be working with a number of triathlon brands and event organisers on Black Tri Day to offer discounts on permitted event entries and triathlon products in preparation for the 2017 season.

“Our aim is that Black Tri Day offers opportunities for the whole sport, from our age-group triathletes to those taking their first steps in triathlon, having been inspired by the success of British athletes in Rio.”

In addition, British Triathlon are offering the opportunity to save £10 off the price of becoming a British Triathlon Home Nation Member. The offer ensures lower event entry costs, plus peace of mind whilst training and racing with accident legal service, third party public liability insurance and personal accident insurance. Members also have access to exclusive discounts from some of the country’s biggest triathlon brands including Garmin, MaxiNutrition and TrainingPeaks, all year round.
