IRONMAN® 70.3® Swansea is back for its second year as part of the Experience Oman IRONMAN Pro Series™, with race day now just over two weeks away. More than 50 professional athletes are set to take to the start line on the South Wales coastline, with strong British representation across both the men’s and women’s fields. They will be joined by a host of international athletes who have travelled from across Europe, creating a competitive and highly talented field. IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea will be the tenth stop on the Experience Oman IRONMAN Pro Series circuit. The race will offer $50,000 and two qualifying slots per gender to the 2027 Precision Fuel & Hydration IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, Chattanooga, Tennessee.

In the women’s field, reigning IRONMAN World Champion Solveig Løvseth (NOR) arrives in Swansea as the standout favourite. Currently leading the Experience Oman IRONMAN Pro Series standings, Løvseth has enjoyed an exceptional start to the season, most recently claiming the European Championship title at IRONMAN Hamburg. She will undoubtedly be a strong contender for the top step of the podium at IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea.

Joining her on the start line is French fan favourite Marjolaine Pierré (FRA), who has also enjoyed an impressive season so far. Pierré secured victory on home soil at IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence before backing it up with a fourth-place finish at the IRONMAN Hamburg European Championship against one of the strongest fields in the sport. She will certainly be one to watch on race day.

A strong British contingent will also be lining up in Swansea, led by the 2024 Champion Nikki Bartlett (GBR). Making her season debut after overcoming a number of personal challenges, Bartlett will be looking to return to the top spot on the podium once again. Joining her is fellow Brit Lizzie Rayner (GBR), who recently recorded a top-10 finish at IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence and will be targeting a share of the prize purse. Other British athletes to keep an eye on include Rebecca Anderbury (GBR), Kate Curran (GBR) and India Lee (GBR).

Germany will also be well represented by Daniela Kleiser (DEU) and Lena Meißner (DEU), two athletes renowned for their speed over the middle distance. Kleiser heads to Swansea fresh from victory at IRONMAN 70.3 Kraichgau, while Meißner secured third place at IRONMAN 70.3 Elsinore last weekend. Both athletes arrive in strong form and will be aiming to challenge for the win.

For the men’s race, two-time defending champion Harry Palmer (GBR) returns to Swansea looking to make it a victory hat trick. Having claimed the title in both 2024 and 2025, Palmer knows exactly what it takes to succeed on this course. Fellow Brit Kieran Lindars (GBR) returns to Swansea after securing third place at the event in 2025. Making his first IRONMAN 70.3 start of the season, Lindars will be aiming to climb the podium and strengthen his bid for qualification to the Precision Fuel & Hydration IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.

Flying in from France, Pierre Le Corre (FRA) will have the podium firmly in his sights, after restarting his Pro Series campaign following a DNF at IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong just weeks after his impressive 2nd place on debut at IRONMAN New Zealand.

He will be joined by fellow Frenchmen Simon Viain (FRA) and Léon Chevalier (FRA). Viain arrives in strong form after claiming third place at IRONMAN 70.3 Elsinore last weekend with an exceptional run, while Chevalier returns to Swansea after finishing runner-up at this event in 2025. Both athletes are expected to be among the key contenders on race day.

Other men to watch; Mika Noodt (DEU), JoranDriesen (BEL) and Paul Schuster (DEU).
