A new series of races for animals with two legs has launched within the flat Kempton Park Racecourse grounds in South West London, taking place across the weekend of the 28th-29th May.

Kempton Park Running Festival will consist of a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon at the famous racecourse. All distances are officially measured and are fully road closed, with ample parking spaces for your ‘horse and cart’ and great links to central London.

Race Director Tom Bedford said “The event is a collaboration of the teams behind Richmond RUNFEST and the Hampton Court Half Marathon who tested a socially distanced event at the same venue in 2021. It went so well we have decided to improve the event further by taking in the amazing grandstands and significantly reducing the amount of laps”.

“All races start and finish outside the famous racecourse finish line grandstand so the music and atmosphere will be electric down the ‘home stretch’. The brand new reduced lap course will deliver fast times and a fun event against a scenic backdrop.” Peter Wedderburn, founder of Quicksilver events.

To get runners ‘off to the races’ the event is offering a 10% discount code that runs out on Monday 24th January. Enter ‘EARLYBIRD10’ at the checkout to make the most of this.
