Entries are now open for one of Yorkshire’s most popular charity runs.

Thousands of runners will head to York on Sunday 20th October for the Asda Foundation Yorkshire 10 Mile.

Launched in 2015, the event is part of a running festival that includes the Yorkshire Marathon and a relay event.

Starting and finishing at the University of York, the 10 Mile takes in a section of the attractive 26.2 mile marathon course. Demand for 10 Mile places is again expected to be high, with entrants enjoying the unique atmosphere that has become such a feature of the marathon since its launch in 2013.”

Tristan Batley-Kyle, head of events at race organiser Run For All, said: “From day one the response to the Yorkshire 10 Mile has been brilliant. The route is scenic and the distance is one that many people find manageable.”

Mandy Hepworth, Asda Foundation coordinator, said: “The Yorkshire 10 Mile has quickly grown into a very popular feature of marathon day. It is excellent that so many people turn out for an event that supports some wonderful charities.”
