IRONMAN® announced this week that 82% of European IRONMAN and IRONMAN® 70.3® race entries for the 2024 season have already been snapped up, with seven races already sold out and many close to sell-out status.
Thanks to its flat and fast course with a buzzing city feeling, IRONMAN European Championship Hamburg had the fastest sell-out in the history of the event and expects to welcome its highest number of female athletes ever. IRONMAN Wales was next to sell out, followed by IRONMAN Kärnten-Klagenfurt, Austria , with record numbers registered from UK, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands for the 25th edition of the race.
Expected to sell out next are IRONMAN Switzerland Thun taking place on 7 July 2024, and IRONMAN Kalmar on 17 August 2024, so athletes hoping to race an IRONMAN triathlon this summer are encouraged to plan their season fast to avoid disappointment.
On its circuit debut, IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia is already a hit with athletes, with the race selling out in just over 2 months, making it the fastest sell out of the season so far.
Following previous years’ trends, the popular IRONMAN 70.3 Les Sables d’Olonne-Vendée was once again quick to sell out, followed by Zafiro IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca, and IRONMAN 70.3 Nice which both reached sell out status in the last few weeks, as athletes chase the sun at some of Europe’s most celebrated race destinations.
Athletes who have their eye on an early season IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon, should check out IRONMAN 70.3 Venice-Jesolo on 5 May 2024, IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence on 19 May 2024 or IRONMAN 70.3 Kraichgau powered by KraichgauEnergie on 26 May.
IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea which takes place on 14 July is also close to capacity and expected to sellout within the next few weeks.
