adidas will return as the Title and Official Sportswear Partner of the Manchester Marathon, as the global sportswear giant extends its long-term relationship with one of Europe’s largest marathons.
The renewal follows a successful three-year title partnership, which started in 2023 and culminated in this year’s record-breaking event, as an all-time high of 36,000 participants were cheered on by 140,000 spectators on Sunday 27th April.
adidas’ long-term partnership with Europe’s 5th largest marathon has coincided with a surge in the event’s popularity, which has seen more than 100,000 people take part since the first year of the partnership.
Since the start of the partnership, adidas has supported participants with expert training resources, releasing official merchandise ranges, driving community engagement and providing exclusive event weekend activities and activations, such as the Adizero: For the Fast pop-up at @Impossible Manchester this year. This featured shakeout runs, exclusive product ranges and expert runner panel discussions.
The impact of the event on Greater Manchester has never been stronger, with £5 million raised for charity this year including gift aid, alongside a significant boost to the local economy.
adidas will continue to help the event evolve as preparations begin for the 2026 adidas Manchester Marathon, taking place on Sunday 19th April, with a record of over 40,000 registered participants. No more public entries will be made available, but people can still choose to run for charity.
Working with adidas, the 2026 edition will aim to create an even greater experience for participants and supporters and continue to impact local communities positively.
