Altra has introduced the Vanish Pulse, a new lightweight road-running shoe aimed at runners looking for a responsive option for tempo sessions and race day.
The shoe uses Altra’s new FAST PCE midsole foam, designed to provide a lightweight, responsive ride. A 22mm stack height and rubber outsole are intended to give the shoe a more direct connection with the road, while also providing grip and durability for road and track running.
The Vanish Pulse features a wide-gauge knit upper, heel webbing pull tab and flat tongue, with the lightweight construction designed to maximise breathability and minimise bulk.
It also retains Altra’s FootShape™ Fit, with a roomy toe box and additional space through the midfoot. As with other Altra models, the Vanish Pulse has a zero-drop platform, with the heel and forefoot at the same height.
The shoe has a neutral construction and low cushioning, with a 22mm stack height. Weight is listed at 200g for the women’s version and 238g for the men’s.
