This October, the challenge is on to discover which club or crew can claim the title of London’s fastest.
On Saturday 3rd October, Endure Relays London returns to Finsbury Park, presented by Sportshoes, as part of the Endure series, the UK’s biggest relay race series. Teams will go head-to-head in a four-hour challenge to see who can cover the most ground, with £2,700 in prizes up for grabs.
From established running clubs and social crews to friendship groups with a competitive streak, teams will battle across male, female and mixed categories, taking it in turns to tackle the course, complete as many laps as possible and chase a place on the podium. The prize pot will see every member of the winning male, female and mixed teams receive £150 in Sportshoes vouchers, adding even more incentive for London’s fastest runners to assemble their strongest squads.
Endure Relays has already welcomed more than 1,000 runners and 250 teams over the past year across events in London, Birmingham and Manchester, bringing together running communities from across the country to race, compete and take on a challenge as a team.
Last year’s competition set a formidable benchmark, with Run M.O.D.E leading the way in the men’s category with an incredible 28 laps. Camino Ultra claimed the mixed team title after completing 27 laps, while Fast & Loopy took the women’s crown with 26. The fastest individual lap clocked in at just 7 minutes and 43 seconds.
This year, the course is set to be flatter and faster, raising the stakes for an even more competitive race as London’s clubs, crews and communities battle to set new records, take the titles and claim their share of the prize pot.
But Endure Relays is about far more than what happens on the course. Away from the racing, Finsbury Park will become a buzzing race village, giving runners and supporters the chance to spend the day soaking up the atmosphere. Expect music, food and drink, alongside discounted shopping from major running and sports brands through Sportshoes.com, creating a festival-style backdrop to the racing.
Teams will race, regroup and cheer each other on throughout the four hours, while friends, family and fellow runners can soak up the action from the sidelines. So, the question is: which London club or crew will come out on top?
