Challenge Almere-Amsterdam is set to make history in 2026 with the introduction of an all-new marathon, marking a double celebration: the 45th anniversary of Challenge Almere-Amsterdam and the 50th anniversary of the city of Almere.
The inaugural Challenge Almere-Amsterdam Marathon will take place on Saturday, 12 September 2026, alongside the iconic Long Distance and Middle Distance triathlon races.
Limited to 1,000 participants, the marathon promises an atmosphere and format unlike any other on the international running calendar.
