One of the best middle distance events of the year is honored to officially announce the opening of registrations through their website www.challenge-cancun.com
The 1st edition was a unique and triumphant experience, where the city of Cancun, known for it’s charm and warmth, took pleasure in hosting athletes, friends and families at this amazing Mexican destination.
The exceptional blue turquoise waters of Playa Langosta in the Caribbean Sea are home to the 1.9 km swim, where athletes on leaving the lagoon will enter T1, situated in the symbolic square of the famous Mexican flag, and embark on the spectacular bike leg. The race culminates with a 3 loop run in downtown Cancun, where spectators have the best seat in the house to cheer on the athletes as they go by.
CHALLENGECANCUN is a licensed event of the international CHALLENGEFAMILY series, with over 40 events worldwide and hosting more than 70.000 competitors in iconic destinations. In addition to many more, these include Roth in Germany, Samorin, Madrid, Cape Town and events in New Zealand, USA, and Brasil.

This is an official qualifying event for CHALLENGEFAMILY’s THECHAMPIONSHIP to be held in 2020 in Samorin, Slovakia.
CHALLENGECANCUN is sanctioned by the Mexican Triathlon Federation and is supported by the Tourism Bureau of Quintana Roo and The Hotel Association. The event has the authorisation of the Municipal Office.
