Multi-award-winning West London event seeks enthusiastic volunteers for the Ealing Mini Mile on Saturday 26th September and the Half Marathon on Sunday 27th September — with a free 2027 race place on offer for everyone who signs up
Ealing, London — The Ealing Half Marathon (EHM), one of West London’s most-loved community running events, has launched its volunteer recruitment campaign ahead of its 2026 race weekend, inviting individuals, running clubs, and workplaces across the region to get involved across two fantastic events — the Ealing Mini Mile on Saturday 26th September and the Ealing Half Marathon on Sunday 27th September.
Now in its fourteenth year, EHM has built a reputation not only for its inclusive, community-driven spirit, but for the exceptional team of volunteers who make its events possible. From marshalling the 13.1-mile half marathon course to cheering on the next generation of runners at the Mini Mile, volunteers are at the very heart of the #EalingFeeling that has made EHM a firm fixture in the West London events calendar.
This year, every volunteer who gives their time — whether on Saturday, Sunday, or both — will receive a complimentary race place for Ealing Half Marathon 2027 as a thank-you from the EHM team.

The Ealing Mini Mile is a celebration of young runners in the heart of the community, supported by our headline sponsor Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club. We need a brilliant team of volunteers to help the event run smoothly and make it a memorable experience for every child and family taking part.
EALING HALF MARATHON — Sunday 27th September 2026
Our flagship event brings thousands of runners to the streets of West London for 13.1 miles of #EalingFeeling. A large and dedicated volunteer team is essential to delivering a safe, enjoyable, and well-organised race for every participant.
Volunteer roles available include:
Course marshals — ensuring runner safety and keeping spirits high along the route
Team Leaders — overseeing a designated section of the course and coordinating volunteers on the ground
Cycling marshals — supporting Team Leaders by patrolling course sections on two wheels
Water station crews — providing vital hydration at key points along the route
Start & finish area support — at the heart of the race-day action
Registration & bag drop — welcoming runners and setting the tone for a fantastic event
All volunteers will receive refreshments on the day, as well as a free race entry for Ealing Half Marathon 2027.
