The city of Salzburg was transformed into a global stage for trail running yesterday as more than 3,000 athletes from around the world (75 countries) took part in the Mozart 100 by UTMB®. Spanning six diverse distances—from the scenic City Trail to the legendary 100 km ultra—the event delivered a day of extraordinary performances and unforgettable moments.
Cooler temperatures and a light morning rain created ideal racing conditions, setting the stage for fast times and memorable finishes. The atmosphere was electric as runners crossed the finish line in Salzburg’s historic city center, cheered on by enthusiastic crowds and surrounded by the city’s iconic landmarks.
Top 3 finishers in the Mozart 100 (UTMB Index 100M), Mozart Ultra (UTMB Index 100K), and Mozart Marathon (UTMB Index 50K) earned direct qualification to the prestigious UTMB World Series Finals—marking a significant milestone on the international trail running calendar.
