St. George, Utah is set to host the IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship as well as the third race of the IRONMAN Pro Series™

Approximately 90 of the world’s top professional triathletes will compete in St. George, Utah for a piece of the $75,000 total event pro prize purse.

Age-group athletes compete alongside the professionals on the same Intermountain Health IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championships St. George course, looking to earn qualifying slots to the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship triathlon in Taupō, New Zealand, taking place on the December 14 and 15, 2024. This event also offers 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship, Nice, France, slots to the Top 5 Placed Women in each age group category.

The Intermountain Health IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championships St. George will begin with a 1.2-mile swim in the Sand Hollow reservoir in Hurricane, Utah. The 56-mile bike loop that takes the athletes from the city of Hurricane the surrounding desert vistas culminating with a climb into the Snow Canyon State Park before a descent into downtown St. George to transition. The 13.1-mile two loop run takes athletes through the streets of downtown St. George with views of the Red Sandstone Mountains. The athletes will finish in the middle of downtown St. George.

The event will welcome over 2,000 registered participants from 29 countries, regions and territories and 48 U.S. States. The top five countries represented are the United States, Canada, Mexico, Great Britian, and Chile. 18-year-old Camille Mayes from Meridian, Idaho is the youngest female athlete racing. 18-year-old Bryson Carter from Washington, Utah is the youngest male athlete racing. 75-year-old Virginia Krantz from Orem, Utah is the oldest athlete racing.

The Pro field consists of athletes representing 17 countries, regions, and territories and 18 U.S. States. Top Contenders in St. George who have placed at the IRONMAN World Championship & IRONMAN 70.3 include:
