The Experience Oman IRONMAN Pro Series heads to Austria on Sunday 30 August for IRONMAN 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun, the final Pro Series event before the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice.
The race will see leading professionals compete for 2,500 Pro Series points and a $50,000 prize purse, with the result also providing an important final test for athletes preparing for the World Championship on 13 September.
Among the British contingent, Kieran Lindars lines up in the men’s race, while India Lee, Rebecca Anderbury and Nikki Bartlett feature in the women’s field. James Teagle and Sam Wordley are also on the men’s start list.
The women’s field is headed by Laura Philipp, who arrives in Austria after winning IRONMAN Kalmar and setting a new women’s course best. Austria’s Lisa Perterer, runner-up at Zell am See-Kaprun in 2025, is also among the leading contenders.
Defending men’s champion Fabian Kraft returns, while two-time IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion Jelle Geens will use the race as part of his preparations for his title defence in Nice. Trevor Foley, currently second in the Pro Series standings, will also be looking to close the gap at the top.
For the British athletes, the race offers a chance to test themselves against a strong international field in the Austrian Alps ahead of the final major championship races of the season.
The professional race will be broadcast live and free internationally via IRONMAN’s YouTube channel and website.

Women’s Professional Field
Lisa Perterer will wear bib number two in the women’s field, with the Austrian athlete finishing second at the race in 2025, with the IRONMAN 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun triathlon close to a home race for Perterer, having grown up just a few hours down the road. Perterer heads into the race 11th in the IRONMAN Pro Series with three scores on the board following back-to-back fifth place finishes in Hamburg and Lake Placid, and a 10th at Aix-en-Provence. Laura Philipp (DEU) comes into Zell am See-Kaprun wearing bib number one, after a dominant display at the IRONMAN Kalmar triathlon where she set a new women’s course best time on her way to victory. Philipp currently sits sixth in the IRONMAN Pro Series standings, and with only one IRONMAN 70.3 race score to her name so far this year a strong result in Austria will see her shoot up the leaderboard.
There will be a host of athletes out to push Perterer and Philipp for the victory, including Marta Lagonwik (POL) who was most recently third at the IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea triathlon, the British trio of India Lee, Rebecca Anderbury and Nikki Bartlett, and Daniela Kleiser (DEU) who will be looking for her first IRONMAN Pro Series result of the year. Kleiser heads into to Austria with her last race being a strong performance, with a win at IRONMAN 70.3 Kraichgau race in May.
Men’s Professional Field
Fabian Kraft (DEU) ran himself to victory in Zell am See-Kaprun last year, with the upcoming race to be his first appearance in the IRONMAN Pro Series since last November’s IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Marbella, Spain. Kraft has had podium finishes in Valencia and Sweden so far this year and will be keen to get himself into the IRONMAN Pro Series standings with a strong performance in the Austrian Alps. Defending, two-time, IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion Jelle Geens (BEL) returns to Zell am See-Kaprun for the first time since finishing second there in 2024 and will be using the race as an important tune up ahead of his title defence in Nice on 13 September. Trevor Foley (USA) will line up in Austria for the first time and currently sits second in the IRONMAN Pro Series standings, a win at Zell am See-Kaprun will send him to the top of the table heading into the final two events in the series.
Gregor Payet (LUX) knows what it takes to be successful in the Austrian Alps, finishing second at the event in 2025 and third in 2024, with the upcoming race to mark his return to the IRONMAN Pro Series after a 10th place finish at last year’s IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship race. Kieran Lindars (GBR), Valdemar Solok (DEN) and Paris 2024 Olympic Games representative Pierre Le Corre (FRA) will all be racing at the IRONMAN 70.3 Zell am See-Kaprun event for the first time on 30 August.
With championship points, prize money, and valuable late-season momentum on the line, the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 Zall am See-Kaprun triathlon is set to deliver exciting racing as many of the world’s top professional triathletes battle for victory in Austria.
