Joma has refreshed the look of its R running range, which is its most race-focused collection, with a clear emphasis on colour as a tool for performance, visibility, and self-expression on race day.

In modern running, technology still matters, but so does how your kit looks and performs in the heat of competition. With that in mind, Joma has introduced a bold new colour direction, positioning colour as an advantage for runners. This update builds on the brand’s strategy of creating technical products that also reflect current trends, strengthening its visual identity through bright, high-impact shades that stand out from a distance and enhance the sense of performance.

The updated R line features combinations of fluorescent yellow, white, and accents of blue and green—offering high-visibility options for runners who want to feel energised and be seen when racing.

A range for every runner

“Run with the R line in colour. A complete range designed to adapt to every type of runner”

Joma is keen to highlight that this evolution doesn’t come at the expense of versatility. Each shoe in the R range retains its own technical focus, ensuring there’s an option suited to different runners, preferences, and race-day demands.

  • R-1000: sustained efficiency. Weighing 260 g with an 8 mm drop, it is designed for demanding training sessions and medium- to long-distance races. Its lower-density carbon plate smooths transitions, while the Fly Reactive midsole absorbs impact and returns energy progressively.
  • R-2000: dynamic daily training. With a 10 mm drop and weighing 280 g, it is developed for everyday use, combining comfort and responsiveness in regular runs. Its construction provides more forefoot space and a more relaxed fit, enhancing comfort over extended use. The Fly Reactive midsole delivers impact absorption and active energy return.
  • R-3000: steady pace over long distances. Weighing 255 g with an 8 mm drop, it is designed to maintain speed over medium and long distances with a more dynamic stride. The carbon plate increases propulsion, while the Fly Reactive midsole helps sustain performance over more kilometres.
  • R-4000: extreme lightness and agility. Weighing 235 g with a 6 mm drop, it is focused on speed sessions, standing out for its agility and lightness. Its low profile promotes a faster stride, prioritizing efficiency at high paces.
  • R-5000: built for maximum performance. Weighing 215 g with a 6 mm drop, it is perfect for achieving high race paces thanks to its carbon plate. This technology, together with the Fly Reactive material, enhances transition and maximizes energy return.
  • R-6000: maximum comfort for training. With a 10 mm drop and weighing 290 g, it is ideal for long, steady training sessions where comfort is key. The higher-volume Fly Reactive midsole provides superior impact absorption.
  • RS-9000: the lightest. At just 126 g with a 7 mm drop, it redefines the running experience, focused on delivering maximum efficiency at high speeds.
This new colour proposal is integrated into a well-established technological base, resulting in a product where every detail—from materials to design—follows the same logic: optimising athlete performance.
