Here’s all the details on this year’s race
When is the Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon 2026?
The Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon is due to take place on Sunday 27th September 2026.
What time does the race start?
The race officially gets underway at 9am. Runners are encouraged to arrive at least an hour before the race is set to start and an hour and a half if they need to collect a race bib. The Ealing Feeling 5k takes place just after the half marathon.
Will there be a warm-up?
Yes. Everlast Gyms Chiswick, our Official Warm Up Partner, will be leading a group warm-up in the Race Village before the start to get you loose and ready to run.
Where is the Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon start line?
The race starts on Culmington Road and finishes in Walpole Park, Ealing in the heart of the Race Village. The address to head to for the Race Village is Walpole Park, Mattock Ln, London W5 5EQ.
Will there be a bag drop and changing facilities at the event?
Yes, we do have a bag drop. The bag drop will be in the middle of Walpole Park at the top of the Race Village. When runners receive their race number, they will also find a bag label. They’ll need to attach the label to the bag they want stored during the run.
There won’t be any changing facilities onsite so people will need to come changed and ready to go.
What is the Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon route?
The route takes in all the sights and sounds of Ealing. Starting and ending in Walpole Park, the run includes routes through Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger, Hanwell and back to Walpole Park in Ealing.

What are the road closure times?

Tube: South Ealing Station on the Piccadilly Line (Heathrow Branch) is within a 10 minute walk of the Start/Finish area. Ealing Broadway Station on the Elizabeth, Central and District Lines is a 15 minute walk from the Start/Finish area. Please go to the TfL Journey Planner www.journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk for more details.
Rail: Elizabeth Line and Mainline from London to Ealing Broadway Station (just one stop, 10 minutes) which is a 15 minute walk from the Start/Finish area. From the West, Ealing Broadway is served by trains from Slough, Maidenhead, Reading and beyond. Please note that West Ealing & Hanwell stations may not be operational on Sundays.
Car: If you are driving to the event, please try to car-share with other participants to minimise the environmental impact and disruption to local residents. Please leave enough time to park and walk to the Race Village. Road closures will come into effect before the start of the event and there will be no parking on the roads surrounding the Race Village. Please note that there is no dedicated car park for the Ealing Half Marathon. There are, however, 2 car parks operated by Ealing Council within walking distance of the Race Village. Full details on local car parks can be found on the Council website here. These car parks require payment even on Sundays so please ensure you have some coins handy.

Route 207/483 (Hayes–White City and Windmill Lane–Harrow) – alight at Ealing Police Station which is a 7 minute walk from the Start/Finish area. Route E2 (Greenford–Brentford) – alight on the Uxbridge Road which is adjacent to the Start/Finish area. Diversions are typically in operation on the E2/207/483/E1 and E11 routes on the morning of the race.
Can I wear headphones?
Yes you can wear bone conducting earphones, but organisers suggest running without them so participants can listen out for any instructions from the route marshals and not miss out on the atmosphere created by locals and supporters throughout the 13.1 miles.
Will there be on-course entertainment?
The residents really bring the borough alive! There will be bands, DJs, and performers positioned throughout the course, ready to encourage runners and create an unrivalled atmosphere in the way only Ealing can.
Where will the first aid stations be on the course?
There will be several first aid stations on the course: near mile 6, mid-way between miles 9 and 10, with several cycle medics and solo spots across the course and also at the finish.
The first water stop will be after around mile 4, then 5.5 miles, mid-way near mile 9, and the finish line.
Oranges will be provided at St Christopher’s Church near mile 7.5.
Is there a race cut-off time?
Yes, but don’t worry if you don’t think you’ll make it. The cut-off time is three hours for each runner. After that runners won’t be stopped – organisers will just ask them to move to the pavements so roads can reopen. Your medal will still be waiting for you at the finish line.
Where are the best places to spectate?
Your family, friends and colleagues are welcome to come along and support you on the day. The Race Village in Walpole Park will be very busy at the start and finish, but there are plenty of great vantage points nearby. Some of the following areas benefit from being passed twice by runners:
- Uxbridge Road
- Pitshanger Lane
- Drayton Bridge Road
- Cuckoo Avenue
Is there anything else going on other than the race?
The Ealing Mini Mile on Saturday 26th September 2026, with headline sponsor Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club, for 2,200 children.
