Training Plans

We are delighted that Andy Pellow, Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at the Nuffield Health Shrewsbury Hospital along with Ms Trudie Jones a Senior Physiotherapist at the hospital and Nuffield Health’s very own Iron-Man Survivor, have created three training plans to help you prepare for not only the Shrewsbury Half Marathon but for all your events.

Beginners Guide – This is a 16 week programmes for anyone who has not run a Half Marathon before.

Intermediate Guide – This is a 12 week programme for experienced runners who have previously entered a 5K, 10K or half-marathon but are now looking to improve their time.

Advanced Guide – This is a 12 week programme for experienced runners who regularly compete in 5K’s, 10K’s, half-marathons and marathons. The programme is designed to help you improved your running performance.
