Dulux London Revolution, the UK’s largest two-day cycling sportive, has today announced a new route for 2019.

The unique 360° loop around London, which takes place on the 11th and 12th May 2019, has this year removed some of the rougher country lanes and by popular demand, replaced them with more of the iconic sights of London.

The new route will see cyclists travel along the Thames, rather than crossing Tower Bridge, cycling past the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

After crossing the river via Lambeth Bridge, cyclists will continue down and past the Oval Cricket Ground before eventually joining the original route.

Once the city is left behind, cyclists will head towards the North Downs, cycling through hidden green lanes and picturesque villages, over testing climbs and down sweeping descents.

Cyclists can opt to complete the route over two days, spending the night at the Windsor Racecourse festival basecamp where cyclists can meet up with their supporters and enjoy delicious food, hot showers, massages, bars and live music. A kid’s zone can also be found in the festival basecamp for those whose families want to come along and show their support.

For those looking to push boundaries and test their mental and physical endurance, the ULTRA package gives riders the option to tackle the demanding 300km in one day.

Cara da Silva, Marketing Director Threshold Sports said: “Dulux London Revolution is now in its eighth year and this is the first time that we have altered the route. The changes will see participants follow the Cycle Superhighway giving them the opportunity to see some of London’s most famous landmarks along the way.

“We are delighted to be able to incorporate these sights into this year’s route and look forward to the feedback from our participants. As always, Dulux London Revolution packs in a variety of riding to make it an unforgettable weekend of cycling.”

A range of packages are on offer over the weekend, including: Two days cycling including camping at £209; two days cycling excluding camping at £119 and The ULTRA at £159.

Cyclists can also choose to ride one of the days for £64 or ride for a charity of their choice from £39.
