Home fans will have plenty to cheer, with Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson, world medallist Georgia Hunter Bell, Josh Kerr, Zharnel Hughes, Dina Asher-Smith, Amy Hunt and Jazmin Sawyers all competing.

Keely Hodgkinson leads stacked women’s 800m

One of the races of the day promises to be the women’s 800m, where Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson takes on world-class opposition including Femke Bol, stepping up in distance from the 400m hurdles, and Olympic silver medallist Tsige Duguma.

British interest is further strengthened by Georgia Hunter Bell, Issy Boffey and teenage star Phoebe Gill, who makes her Diamond League debut.

Josh Kerr targets the mile world record

Another must-watch event is the famous Emsley Carr Mile.

Josh Kerr has made no secret of his ambition to attack the mile world record, and he’ll face fierce competition from Olympic bronze medallist Yared Nuguse, Hobbs Kessler, fellow Brit Neil Gourley, and a field packed with international talent.

Sprint stars return to London

Olympic champion Julien Alfred arrives in sensational form after running a world-leading 200m in Monaco and will defend her London title against Gabby Thomas, Dina Asher-Smith, Amy Hunt and British champion Success Eduan.

In the men’s 100m, Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo headlines a quality field that includes Britain’s Zharnel Hughes, Jeremiah Azu and Romell Glave.

Duplantis returns to the capital

Pole vault fans are in for a treat as world record holder Mondo Duplantis returns to London for the first time in a decade.

He’ll face Olympic bronze medallist Emmanouil Karalis, now the second-highest pole vaulter in history, alongside Australia’s Kurtis Marschall and former world champion Sam Kendricks.

Strong para athletics programme

The meeting also features an impressive para athletics programme, including British stars Ben Sandilands, Sophie Hahn, Zac Shaw, Thomas Young and wheelchair racing legend Marcel Hug.

One of the biggest meetings of the year

As the eleventh stop on the 2026 Wanda Diamond League, the Novuna London Athletics Meet regularly attracts one of the strongest fields outside of a World Championships or Olympic Games.

With Olympic champions, world record holders and Britain’s biggest athletics names all competing, London Stadium looks set for another memorable afternoon of athletics.
