ROUVY, Czech indoor training company, and Unipublic, organiser of La Vuelta, will launch the first edition of La Vuelta Virtual by ROUVY this weekend. The platform will offer users the possibility of competing in the finale of four of the most emblematic stages in this year’s edition of La Vuelta, that ended on Sunday the 8th of November. Registrations will take place through the following website: www.race.rouvy.com

Each stage will feature the participation of a professional cyclist from La Vuelta 20’s wild cards: Burgos BH and Caja Rural-Seguros RGA. This competition may be followed through La Vuelta’s Twitter, Facebook and Youtube channels and will be narrated and include commentary by Spanish presenter Kuentin and La Vuelta’s Sports Director, Kiko García.

Each day will also include a special guest to provide commentary prior to and during the stage finale: ex cyclists Fernando Escartín, Roberto Laiseka and Óscar Pereiro and the General Manager of La Vuelta, Javier Guillén.

Stage 1 | La Laguna Negra (25.7km) | Saturday 14th November 2020
Participants will cover several flat kilometres before climbing the final 9 km that make up this tough mountain pass, climbed by La Vuelta for the first time in 2020, and won by Dan Martin (Israel Start-Up Nation). Riding along with the amateur virtual peloton will be Diego Rubio (Burgos BH) and Sergio Martín (Caja Rural – Seguros RGA).

The virtual peloton will seek to win in the same place as the two-time La Vuelta champion Primož Roglič. Stage 4 | Alto de la Covatilla (27km) | Sunday 22nd November 2020
We will relive the penultimate stage of La Vuelta 20, where the final battle between Primož Roglič and Richard Carapaz took place, including the final ride through the emblematic locality of Candelario and the 11.4 km climb to the Alto de La Covatilla. Oier Lazkano (Caja Rural – Seguros RGA) and the Spanish ‘Sparrow’, Ángel Madrazo, will compete in this stage along with the remaining participants.
