Marathon Tours & Travel are launching in Australia, with an extensive event portfolio for those seeking their next running adventure.
Marathon Tours & Travel offers travel packages for runners, with guaranteed entry, transport, accommodation and on the ground team support for some of the most famous running events around the world, including the Abbott World Marathon Majors, ultra and adventure marathons, through to fast 10kms and half marathons courses.
The launch in Australia will include ultramarathons, marathons, half marathons and 10ks, promoting large Australian events, such as the Sydney Marathon.
Recent months have seen the recruitment of a new team of experienced Australian travel specialists, who will manage all travelling logistics, and provide a bespoke service in which customers are able to double up events or combine them with leisure to make the perfect holiday rather than selecting a set package.
A headline event for the team is Sydney Marathon, which recently entered a three-year evaluation process as a candidate race for the prestigious Abbott World Marathon Majors. Set on a course that shows off the very best sights and sounds of Sydney, it is part of an annual running festival which includes a choice of distances appealing to all – with full and half marathon distances, along with a 10km event and 3.5km ‘fun run’. Consistently an IAAF Road Race Gold Label status event, the team at Marathon Tours & Travel say that their “biggest goal is to be a major factor in creating Australia’s first Abbott World Marathon Major, the Sydney Marathon.”
A range of packages are available for the Sydney Marathon, with further “add on” opportunities to enjoy activities such as a cruise through Sydney Harbour and a pre-race dinner with other competitors.
