British outdoor brand Rab (owned by Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd.) has received an ISPO Award for its new Veil XP 30 running pack. The ISPO Award celebrates the most innovative products and services in the sports industry, and this recent award builds upon the recognition Rab’s packs have received in the past. The Veil XP 30 is part of Rab’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2025 packs collection and will become available to consumers in Spring 2025 (also offered in a 20-litre version).

With the Veil XP, Rab leverages its expertise gained from crafting the Veil running vests and the popular, robust, and lightweight Muon hiking packs, making these new packs among the lightest waterproof and IP-rated (IPX4) running packs with a full feature set available in the market. With on-the-go access to gear and a 3D mesh back system that wicks moisture, flexes while moving, and remains comfortable over distance, the Veil XP featuring 100% recycled nylon is made for everything from ultralight fast-packing to mountain marathons.

As the ISPO Award Jury comments: „For those who prefer to move swiftly in the outdoors, this running pack offers a competent companion at hand. What convinces are the numerous features, the excellent fit, and the material. Sustainable overall design with outstanding performance characteristics.”

Key features of the Veil XP 30 include:

  • 40D ROBIC® Siliconised 100% recycled Nylon Ripstop with HydroShield coating (HH:2,000mm);
  • Waterproof, featuring fully taped seams and tested to IPX4;
  • Roll-top closure with side buckle option to expand and compress pack as kit changes;
  • Body hugging harness for close fit and mobility;
  • Spacer mesh back panel for comfortable and flexible fit;
  • Double sternum strap for added security especially at high pace;
  • Secure hook and loop webbing belt, with laser cut holes for ventilation and SR buckle;
  • Large stretch mesh front and side pockets, great for easy gear stash;
  • On the go z-pole attachment;
  • Two flask pockets and two zipped pockets for multiple storage options in harness;
  • Top tensioner to keep load stable when moving at pace;
  • Weight: 0.545kg/1lb3oz;
  • Back length: 19″ / 48cm;

Also available in a 20-litre version.

The Veil XP 30 is a standout piece from Rab’s upcoming Spring/Summer 2025 packs collection, including the Hyperon series featuring load-hauling trekking packs for long distances in remote regions; the versatile Protium daypack range; the Nitron family for minimalist day hikes; and the Exon packs, the definitive load carrier for hiking and trekking.

Tim Fish, Rab’s product director, explains: “We are honoured to receive the ISPO Award for the Veil XP 30. This is a fantastic acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication we have invested in elevating our Rab pack range for Spring/Summer 2025, and we are looking forward to presenting the new products to our retail partners and consumers.”
