The very best of British athletics will return to Birmingham next February with tickets for the 2024 UK Athletics Indoor Championships going on sale in December.

Tickets go on priority sale at 10am on Wednesday 13 December 2023 before going on general sale at 10am on Thursday 14 December 2023 for the event which will take place on the 17 and 18 February 2024 at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.

With prestigious national titles on the line, the Championships will also serve as the Official Trial event for the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow, Scotland on 1-3 March 2024. With the best athletes in the country vying for places on the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team for another major Championships on home soil, this will be an event not to be missed.

The World Athletics Indoor Championships take place just two weeks after the UK Athletics Indoor Championships, meaning athletes will be seeking to be in their best form to seal a place on the British team.

With 28 disciplines – 14 for both men and women – taking place across the two days, it promises to be a highly entertaining two-days of action to start off the Olympic and Paralympic year.

Last year’s event saw UK titles go to Jazmin Sawyers – who would win European Indoor long jump gold a few weeks later – as well as world finalist Daryll Neita, and Ellie Baker who broke the women’s 1500m stadium record, while there was also a para athletics indoor world record for Aled Davies in the shot put.

Major Events Strategic Lead at UK Athletics, Cherry Alexander said: “We are thrilled to be returning to Birmingham to host the 2024 UK Athletics Indoor Championships. The venue first hosted the event in 2007, so we are pleased to be working with the stakeholders once again to host this prestigious fixture in the West Midlands.

“The Championships are always a special event for athletes, coaches, Clubs and everyone in the sport, and with the World Athletics Indoor Championships taking place just two weeks later, we will see athletes in top form as they look to book their spots on the GB & NI team in Glasgow. It makes this significant fixture in the athletics calendar even more special as UK titles and places at a home Championships are up for grabs.

“Thank you to all the stakeholders who will be supporting the event and making sure we deliver another world-class event in the UK.”

Tickets go on priority sale at 10am on Wednesday 13 December 2023 before going on general sale at 10am on Thursday 14 December 2023.
