With 11 races on offer including the marathon, half marathon, team relay, 10k, 5k and junior races, there really is something for everyone – whether you’re new to running, want to challenge yourself with a new distance or aim for a PB.

The prestigious Edinburgh Marathon has a fast and flat route, ideal if it’s your first marathon or you’re looking for a PB! This incredible city centre route starts with the picturesque backdrop of Holyrood Park, then brings you past the impressive Surgeons’ Hall. This part of the city is a fabulous mix of history, and festival culture.

The route then meanders down the historic Royal Mile, heading towards the Scottish Parliament building. Here you can look up and take in the spectacular Arthurs Seat & Salisbury Crags.

As you reach Musselburgh, you’ll run past the oldest golf course in the world, before heading to Gosford House. As you turn and head back along the coast, you’ll see the beautiful finish line ahead, one of the greatest sights for any marathon runner!
