The Pedalhounds MTB – EMTB Enduro series returns in 2020 with 6 rounds in the South of England.
The events, which have been running since 2016, are popular and sell out quickly.
The race format will suit anyone with a trail, enduro, hard tail or e-bike and enough stamina for a good day’s riding. Whilst the top riders enter to win, it’s more about getting out on your bike in a stunning locations, having a go and enjoying the friendly banter.
The race format:
• 3 or 4 laps of between 2 to 5km in length
• 3 to 5 timed short gravity fed stages
• Each stage will be ridden 3 times
• Best 2 out of 3 times per stage will be added together for the final result
Instead of having 4 to 6 timed stages throughout the day you’ll get between 9 to 15!
The stages on each lap can be ridden in any order in a mash-up style, with no time restraints on transfers from one stage to another.
Pedalhounds are sticking to the true ethos of enduro – there will be no practice before the racing starts, although the stages will be available for inspection on foot the day before and on the morning of the event giving everyone a level playing field.
Rider Categories:
U14: 12-14 (Rider must be accompanied by a guardian 16yrs+ at all times whilst at the event)
U18: 15-18
Senior: 19-29
Master: 30-39
Veteran: 40-49
Grand Vet: 50+
Hard Tail: 16+
Women: 16-39
Women: 40+
Fun: 16+ (Open to riders starting their first enduro and less experienced riders. This category is pure fun racing and will not be part of the Pedalhounds Series. Once a rider has scored a podium they must race appropriate age category)
E-Bike Junior: 14-18 (E-Bikes must comply to UK EPAC Law. We rely on Riders Integrity to adhere to this rule)
E-Bike Senior: 19-29 (E-Bikes must comply to UK EPAC Law. We rely on Riders Integrity to adhere to this rule)
E-Bike Master: 30-39 (E-Bikes must comply to UK EPAC Law. We rely on Riders Integrity to adhere to this rule)
E-Bike Veteran: 40-49 (E-Bikes must comply to UK EPAC Law. We rely on Riders Integrity to adhere to this rule)
E-Bike Grand Vet: 50+ (E-Bikes must comply to UK EPAC Law. We rely on Riders Integrity to adhere to this rule)
E-Bike Women: 16+ (E-Bikes must comply to UK EPAC Law. We rely on Riders Integrity to adhere to this rule)
