Power Running Bra – Fiesta | runderwear™

I was excited to try the new colour Fiesta in runderwear’s Power Running Bra. I already own two runderwear running bras so already knew the support was great, and was excited to hear the Power Running Bra is available in a vibrant red colour.

How easy is it to get on?

This is the big running bra question! This is thankfully not a support bra you need to pull on over your head as I’ve found myself tangled in those a few times. This one allows you to open it fully, then put your arms into before fastening at the back with two straps. I found it easy to fasten the lower underband strap myself, but it has an additional fastening point higher up too, and I find this tricky to do myself and have had to ask for help on a couple of occasions. I have, however, discovered that if I fasten the straps first at the front, then simply turn the sports bra around and put my arms into it last, I can fasten it all myself (although don’t try this in humid weather!). Also easy to get off, after exercise too.

Design and fit

The Power Running Bra has moulded (wire-free!) cups and a comfortable wide underband, and wide padded straps.

Runderwear does offer fitting assistance on its website if you’re unsure how to measure yourself properly.

The wide underband has two fastening points, each of those with three levels of adjustability, so once on, and fitted snugly, I can barely feel I’m wearing it. The padded shoulder straps are adjustable too, so you can make it the perfect fit for you.

Comfort and support

The Power Running Bra is really comfortable once on. It’s a soft, pliable material that feels smooth against the skin. It has a breathable mesh on the inside of the underband, but not on the inside of the cups so they feel extremely soft against your skin. Also the seams are concealed, so these don’t get scratchy and rub against your skin.

The longest activity I’ve worn it for so far has been a 90 minute run in the hot summer weather, and I’ve noticed chafing with my older sports bras after 30 minutes in the same conditions, but this bra did not cause me any chafing at all and felt very comfortable throughout the whole run.

The support it provides is excellent, and I didn’t feel any discomfort, nor excessive movement in my breasts while running. It doesn’t feel too restrictive either, and stays in place without moving around. It has quite a high neckline so this seems to reduce upward bounce too, as well as sideways movement.

Durability and quality

After several washes, the shape and colour of the Power Running Bra are still intact and vibrant. I have washed it on my washing machine’s 45-minute sports wash setting, and left to dry naturally. There is no noticeable stretching or loss of elasticity.

Value for money

At £49 this is an excellent price for a very supportive and comfortable high-impact running bra. I would definitely buy this bra in the future, and recommend to other runners.

Balance Sports Bra – Fiesta | runderwear™

What the website says:

The perfect lightweight complement to your training wardrobe. Support meets strength and conditioning in this low-impact sports bra, balancing ultimate comfort and performance to carry you through any activity, from Pilates and Yoga to gym workouts.

Design and fit

I chose a size Medium, and it looked quite small when I first took it out of the packaging, but it has plenty of stretch in it, and is so comfortable to wear. I’m generally a size 12-14 and the medium is a perfect fit. It’s a racerback style, and very comfortable to wear underneath a vest or t-shirt, or on its own. It’s also easy to put on over your head as it’s very stretchy.

Comfort and support

I’ve worn this for Pilates workouts, gym workouts, and also for long hikes where I need a bit more support and breathability than a regular bra. It’s extremely comfortable to wear all day long, and I haven’t noticed it getting too damp when I work out. It’s a superb bra for low impact activities; I have tried to run in it but I prefer the support of the Power Running Bra for running. The Balance Bra is a great all-rounder, and it’s already had a lot of wear on my part.

Durability and quality

I’ve washed the bra after each wear and it’s quick drying and ready to go again! It also hasn’t lost any of its vibrant red colour, or its elasticity.

Value for money

At £29, this is good value for money in my opinion as I can certainly see this being a staple of my workout clothes for a long time.

Women’s Running Briefs – Fiesta | runderwear™

What the website says:

Experience coverage, comfort, and confidence like never before with our Women’s Anti-Chafing Briefs. Crafted with super-soft, seamless fabric, these briefs wick sweat away from your skin quickly, ensuring you stay cool, dry, and 100% chafe-free, guaranteed.

Comfort and fit

I love my runderwear briefs. I already own a few pairs and have run in them for may years. The new briefs feel a softer material to the older style I have. The briefs are high waisted, so cover my tummy, which, as I wear high waisted shorts and leggings to run in, are very comfortable. There aren’t any rough seams to dig in at all either. runderwear’s main selling point of its briefs is that they are guaranteed chafe-free and I certainly haven’t experienced any chafing while wearing them.

Value for money

These have washed really well, as I’ve worn the briefs each time I’ve worn the Balance Bra, and they are well worth the £18 retail price as I know from previous experience they will last a very long time.

Overall I am thrilled with the Balance Sports Bra and Running Briefs for general day-to-day activity and low impact exercise, and the Power Running Bra is now my go-to bra when I head out for a run. Extra kudos to runderwear for making all of these out of recycled materials, yet managing to make them so soft and comfortable. I also adore the Fiesta red colour – it’s great to add a pop of colour to my running and workout underwear!
